Linda Farrow love

I have loved Linda Farrow sunglasses since forever. My mum had an amazing pair which I snapped in half. I am waiting for a magic fairy to come and fix them in my drawer. Here is my selection of the best pieces from the SS10 collection. All we need now is a little sunshine...I particularly like the Bernhard Willhelm styles- protecting your nose is the only way forward.

OI YOU - BANK HOLIDAY WKD!

LITERALLY CAN NOT WAIT.... X

Give me Oxygen

Pow...I need this Rory Beca Bra Top, £195

Oxygen is a fantastic little boutique in Eastcastle Street in the art district of Noho. As Cool Hunting put it,"Only recently opened, the boutique is already making waves and securing its place as one of London's premier shops". And that it is. With brands such as House of Harlow 1960, CC Skye and SEA NY waves are washing over us fashionista's credit card bills. The boutique also exhibits artists work. If you are in the area soon then check out these illustrations by Echo Morgan.

Melvin Odoom likes to dip girls in icing...

The charming and handsome Melvin Odoom is a presenter on MTV, Myspace and Kiss 100. He came to see me last week to pick up some garms to wear on his various shows. Wanna know more from the man himself?

What are you doing right now?
I am working from home and listening to new music on a site called 22
Tracks in particular a track from Gorillaz called “Empire Ants”
featuring Little Dragon taken from the new Plastic Beach album...very
big track!

I love to present on TV and radio because...
It is a job I enjoy and if you like what you do it doesn’t have to
feel like work. Plus as a kid I wanted to be a young Michael Jackson
but I can’t sing so this is the next best thing!

What is your proudest moment in life so far?
Wow I haven't really thought about it there are a few...I/we have won
radio awards, had a my face posted on the side of bus, and featured in
the national press for my achievements but I have to say moving out of
my mums home was a big thing to me...sounds silly I know.

What are your vices?
Cake and Girls (Dip Halle Berry in some icing and I am in trouble)!!

Best music track to listen to to get the creative juices flowing...
I find anything from Miles Davis helps me if I need to think I can
not listen to anything with words so instrumental Jazz is the best
thing for me and a little brain....

What does 2010 hold?
I wise man once said “Don’t talk about it, Be about it” so watch this space.

Where do you like to play in your free time?
Anywhere with new, exciting and interesting people.

Everyday the café will be open to serve food from midday till around 9pm, except when specific event as occurring (see website).

Throughout the week Cafe du Pique Nique will be cramming in a variety of free distractions including live music, short films, cart-wheeling classes and wasp piñata swatting at the beautiful Future Gallery.

Sssshhh...I know a little secret

People who know me, know that I love a market and anything thrifty. If I can riffle and rummage my way through a room then I am really, really happy. South London has a lot to boast about. 1, I am born and bread from this region, 2, garage raves are on the up, 3, it is home to the best market in London. Haynes Lane Market is hidden away in Crystal Palace, and boy what a gem it is. I almost don't want to share my secret but if you love a market then you need to represent. This is how a thrift market should look and feel. There are plenty of bargains to be had from books, clothes, furniture, bric a brac and jewellery. Recently I bought some amazing 1950s plates and bowls; 17 of them set me back a mere £25. Go check it out for yourself. If you have time then I would suggest exploring the local shops in the area too- there are some real beauties to be had.

Cycling shorts are back!

Are they cycling shorts or are they a new take on knickerbockers? Either way it's a major trend alert girls...if Alexa is wearing it now, there is a chance we will all be embracing it in the weeks to come. Alexa is pictured here with Karl Lagerfeld at the AW10/11 Chanel show. Motel are selling the lace beauties above on ASOS so like Alexa, why not layer it up over a pair of tights? It's still too cold to brace the pins in the open air just yet...Just think lace and avoid that lycra cycling look.

Grab a Garb

I love a boy in anything by Garbstore. They ooze that sexiness that I completely swoon over and melt at the knees with. So boys if you wanna impress, embrace the collection this season. Their fifth collection finds it’s inspiration in the service industries that accompanied the colonial exploits of the British Empire, from rail building in India to service waiters in Hong Kong, From Chefs to train drivers we have focused on the Civilian aspect of Uniform that proceed from any Military campaign. Sounds good, right? To add that rock appeal, Canadian Folk band ‘The Mighty low’ were photographed in rehearsal in their studio in east London wearing the Garb pieces. The images are illustrated by UK based artist Ewen Brown. The campaign will also be used as the album book for the ‘The Mighty Lows’ new record due later in the year.

Dress those pins!

My boyfriends flatmate just forward this to me....pow! I want the entire SS10 collection please. Les Queues de Sardines is offering an original range of stockings and tights notable for their unconventional and unique graphic style. Add a pinch of narrative humour - The result is fantastical (is that even a real word?). Screen-printed by hand in limited quantities, these rare and exclusive articles will never go unnoticed. For many of us who adorn ourselves in beautiful clothing, we now have the chance to dress our pins in the same way.

If you want to purchase then get yourselves to Fortnum and Masons.
